Coaching helps the client understand and manage the organization's values in contrast with their own which can often create conflict.

Performance Coaching allows the supervisor or manager the opportunity to consider different perspectives regarding their role in the organization and how that role can be best optimized without compromising their own values.

Performance coaching involves creating a confidential, nonjudgmental relationship between the coach and participant with the express purpose of helping the person assess their strengths, limitations, and enhancement opportunities. Coaching is not about "fixing" someone, it's about helping the client make the best use of strengths.

Coaching is used from the executive management level to the production level to enhance the performance, value, and satisfaction of the participant. It involves an exploration process driven by the participant and orchestrated by the coach to develop alternatives dealing with human behavior, leadership style, group and individual interactions, image effectiveness, and other aspects of performance.
